About Dr. Lamparello

In 1998, Dr. Patrick J. Lamparello became Director for the Vascular Fellowship Program and in 2001, Chief of the Divison of Vascular Surgery at NYU.

Dr. Lamparello was born in New Jersey and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his general surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He completed his vascular surgical fellowship in 1981 at New York University. Since that time he has stayed in New York and risen through the ranks. He is Board-Certified and recertified in both general and vascular surgery.

He is an active member of all of the major national vascular societies and serves on many important committees. Dr. Lamparello is widely published and enjoys a superb reputation in the vascular surgery community. He is annually recognized by many of the local and national magazines as a "Best Physician" or "Top Doctor". He is a leader in the field of endovascular surgery, particularly with regards to endovascular aneurysm repairs and carotid artery stenting. He has a busy private practice in the NYU Faculty Practice offices and takes care of all patients with vascular problems.

Under his leadership, two accredited fellows are trained annually to become Board-Certified Vascular Surgeons. Over the years, the fellowship program and surgical residency has graduated many vascular surgeons who have become distinguished throughout the United States. The published manuscripts, research, and awards won by the fellowship program are second to none.
